How to use:
Untreated/sanded floors: Ensure that the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, old lacquer, wax, grease, polish, soap residues etc.
Sand the surface to remove dirt and irregularities if required. Vacuum thoroughly. Evenly apply one coat of WoodMaster Easy Coat and
allow to dry for a minimum of 1-2 hours. Use a WoodMaster roller 8-10mÇ per ltr. Shake the bottle of WoodMaster Tough Step for 1
minute, add the harder (4oml per ltr) and shake for a minimum of 1 minute. *Once mixed-use within 4 hr.
Evenly apply one coat of WoodMaster Tough Step and allow to dry for a minimum of 2-3 hours. Use a WoodMaster roller 8-10mÇ per ltr.
Sand with sandpaper grit 150 along the grain of the wood. Vacuum and wipe with a dry microfibre to remove all sanding dust. Apply one
coat of WoodMaster Tough Step *Optimal application conditions are between 18-25ºC and 30-60% relative air humidity. The minimum temp of use is
13ºC. It’s recommended to not apply 3 coats in one day
Previously lacquered: Clean floor with WoodMaster Neutral floor cleaner. Sand thoroughly using grit 150-180. Vacuum and wipe with
a dry microfibre to remove all sanding dust. Apply one coat of WoodMaster Tough Step and allow to dry for a minimum of 2-3 hours. Use
a WoodMaster roller 8-10mÇ per ltr. Sand with sandpaper grit 150 along the grain of the wood. Vacuum and wipe with a dry microfibre
to remove all sanding dust. Apply a coat of WoodMaster Tough Step as a final coat. *Before lacquering the full area, it is recommended to conduct
a trial application on a smaller area.
Polished or waxed floors: Machine sand using grit 24-36 to strip old coats. Then remove abrasion marks using grit 50, 60, 80.
Finally, use grit 120-150 to obtain a smooth surface Vacuum thoroughly Treat the floor as described under Untreated/sanded floors.
Conducting a trial application:
Lacquer a spot, by applying 2 coats at 2 hours interval. After drying for 24 hours check the spot for adhesion by scraping with the edge
of a coin. If the adhesion is functioning and the appearance of the surface is acceptable, the floor can be lacquered. If the result is not
acceptable, continue as described under “Wax/polish treated floors”. Wax/Polished treated floors: Machine sand using grit 24-36 to
strip old coats. Vacuum thoroughly. Then remove abrasion marks using grit 50-60-80. Vacuum thoroughly. Finally, use grit 120-150 to
obtain a completely smooth surface. Vacuum thoroughly. Treat the floor as described under “Untreated/sanded floors”.
Coverage: 8 – 10sq mÇ per 1 ltr
Drying time: Sanding/recoating 2-3hrs, Foot traffic 6hrs, normal use and furniture 24hr
