Let’s jump into Oct, with a bang! We have got some awesome “trick or treats” this month, including some great advice on protecting your stone worktops, fireplaces, and tiles this Halloween.
Halloween is only around the corner!
We’re so excited to see what you do with your pumpkins this year. Whether you’re carving up a witch or a vampire, we know it’s going to be amazing.
Each year we get a large influx of customers calling after hallowing to say that a pumpkin has left a stain or even worse, burnt and dulled down the marble or stone from where it has been sat.
Here are some tips to help you make this Halloween extra special and protect your stone worktops and tiles from damage caused by the pumpkins.
1) Never sit the pumpkin directly on the work surface, also use a matt or plate to protect the stone surface
2) Beware of candles heating up the pumpkin and causing it to sweat as the juices are slightly acidic and will burn marble, limestone, or calcium-based stone.
3) Avoid any of the candle wax melting onto the stone or tile surface as this can burn the surface or cause a stain.
I hope this helps and don’t forget to check Facebook and Instagram for more tips and tricks for looking after your stone and tiles.
Be safe! Have fun trick-or-treating and don’t forget to check out all of the spooky decorations around town 🙂
