Description
TileMaster Tile and Stone Stripper is our solvent-based stripper for taking previously sealed stone and tiles back to bare. It is the strongest of our three strippers and is made for hard coatings such as yacht varnish, lacquer and two-part solvent sealers on natural stone (including York stone), ceramic and porcelain — including in the grout joints.
Which stripper do I need?
- Tile and Stone Stripper (this product) — solvent-based; for tough topical coatings and two-part solvent sealers on stone and tiles.
- TM Stripper — water-based; for built-up sealers and coatings on stone and tiles when you prefer a non-solvent formula (can be diluted up to 1:5).
- Strip It — our mildest stripper, formulated for removing polishes and dressings from LVT (also usable on ceramic, porcelain and stone for light coatings).
Key benefits
- Solvent-based formula for tough topical coatings
- Removes yacht varnish, lacquer and two-part solvent sealers
- Strips coatings from both the tile/stone and the grout
- Ready to use and fast acting
Suitable surfaces
- Previously sealed natural stone, including York stone
- Previously sealed ceramic and porcelain tiles
- Kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and anywhere old solvent sealer needs removing
Not suitable for: LVT polish removal as first choice (use Strip It); contact with surrounding plastic or painted surfaces. Ventilate the work area — this product is solvent-based and flammable.
How to use
- Apply Tile and Stone Stripper to the surface and leave to work for 5–10 minutes, keeping it wet so it does not dry on the floor.
- Scrub with the TileMaster machine fitted with Pad C, or Pad A with TileMaster Diamond Dust, for best results. Alternatively use a stiff scrubbing brush or suitable pad.
- Remove the dirty solution with a clean mop, sponge or cloth.
- Rinse well with clean water and check the result. Thick coatings may need more than one application.
Coverage and sizes
- Available sizes: 250ml, 5 litres
Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
