Description
TileMaster TM Stripper is our water-based stripper for taking previously sealed stone and tiles back to bare. It removes old surface sealers, lacquers and topical coatings from both the tile and the grout, and can be used neat or diluted up to 1:5 on lighter coatings.
Which stripper do I need?
- TM Stripper (this product) — water-based; everyday stripping of sealers and coatings on stone and tiles (dilutable up to 1:5).
- Tile and Stone Stripper — solvent-based; for tough yacht varnish, lacquer and two-part solvent sealers.
- Strip It — our mildest stripper, for polishes and dressings on LVT (and light coatings on hard floors).
Key benefits
- Water-based formula (not solvent-based)
- Strips coatings from both tiles and grout
- Removes surface sealer without damaging the tile
- Ready to use, or dilute up to 1:5 for lighter coatings
- Fast acting
Suitable surfaces
- Previously sealed natural stone, including York stone
- Previously sealed ceramic and porcelain tiles
- Kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and anywhere old sealer needs removing
Not suitable for: first choice for LVT polish removal (use Strip It); contact with surrounding plastic or painted surfaces. Ventilate the work area.
How to use
- Apply TM Stripper neat for heavy build-up, or dilute up to 1:5 for light coatings.
- Leave to work for 5–10 minutes, keeping it wet so it does not dry on the floor.
- Scrub with the TileMaster machine fitted with Pad C, or Pad A with TileMaster Diamond Dust, for best results. Alternatively use a stiff scrubbing brush or suitable pad.
- Remove the dirty solution with a clean mop, sponge or cloth.
- Rinse well with clean water and check the result. Thick coatings may need more than one application.
Coverage and sizes
- Available sizes: 1 litre, 5 litres
Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
