We have smooth York stone in a modern hallway which is dirty and stained. How best could I strip it and seal it myself in these times of staying at home? It was originally sealed with Blockseal Acrylic (water based). I did attempt to strip it with Litholin a few years ago, but the results were not very good and it was hours of work!.

      HI Caroline

many thanks for your comment. Yes we offer 2 products for stripping. 1 is waterbased and the other in a very strong solvent-based stripper.

For waterbased acrylic, we normally find our Water-based stripper does the job. It is called TM stripper and can be applied down as left for 10 – 15mins to dwell and this will start to break down the current surface sealer. If you want some further advice, please feel free to email us a picture and I can advise better from that.
